My trip- Part 1

Hello hello everyone. As you can see I am back home now. Got back late friday night. I had the wickedest time in Kenya and London, and I can't wait to go back lol. Met soo many awesome people and saw some amazing things.

Somehow over the course of the trip I ended up taking over 900 pictures lol....not sure if it was because I always had the camera in my hand or what, but somehow I took tons lol. Don't worry I won't be posting all of them, lol. I will update the blog every now and then with new ones as I tell you stories from our adventures lol.

So first off, we left home on the 7th of July. As Regina airport does not have a direct flight to London, we had to fly via Calgary. The flight from Calgary was ok...9 hours or something I think it was, but of course it feels like 9 years lol. We landed in London on the 8th and slept for most of the day as we were uber sleepy and tired after travelling for almost 24 hours. That night we just hung out with Banth Chachaji and Chachiji.

The next day, being the 9th, was our only day in London before leaving for Kenya. I went with Bhabiji to her college and then we sneaked off to high street and did some shopping, hehe...in the evening Meena and Jeejaji came over for dinner and all us kids had pizza while the others had dahl roti...lol.

The next morning we were off to Kenya. Our flight was going via Dubai and it was leaving from Gatwick, so we had to take a coach from Heathrow to Gatwick in the morning. We got our flight to Dubai in the evening, and then landed in Dubai at about 12am. We had a 15 hour stay in Dubai so we were going to be staying at a hotel for the night. And when I saw we, I don't just mean my mom, dad and I. I mean the 3 of us, Chachaji and Chachiji an then about 50 other people from the Jahtha that were also coming from London and B'ham.

Dubai is a really awesome city, soooooo hot right now, it was about 35 degrees at 12am and got to about 45 during the day. As we didn't have a lot of time in Dubai to do shopping, we just went to the local mall (which took us about 25 minutes to walk to in 45 degrees in the scortching sun lol) to do some quick shopping before catching our flight to Nairobi. It was so different walking around and seeing everything written in Urdu.

I took this just before we landed in Nairobi, isn't it an awsesome view?

We spent one night in Nairobi and then were heading off to Kericho in the early morning. We would be flying to Kisumu and then taking the two hour, rough road drive to Kericho. It was definitley something I will never forget. Before our drive to Kericho we stopped off at the Gurdwara in Kisumu for some Langer.

Here is the Jahtha getting off the plane in Kisumu
