Dreams...what do they mean?

Dreams. Everyone has them at some point, but not everyone talks about them. You always learn that dreams are a way of your unconscious thoughts coming out in some way. When you are asleep and there is nothing that you are consciously thinking about, your mind goes to the unconscious. Some people have dream journals, and write down their dreams the second they wake up. Others, say they don't dream, or maybe it's just that they do not remember their dreams whent hey wake up. For some, dreams may have a lot of meaning and may make you think "what does that mean?" I am one of those people. To me, dreams make you think. If you wake up and ask yourself, "what does that mean?", you will most likely be thinking about the dream for awhile. I remember when I was younger, I used to have many strange dreams. I would dream about life size Spongebob-like characters chasing me across my driveway. Then I would wake up in the middle of the night scared and would hide under my blanket. When I was younger I used to have a lot of nightmares, and scary dreams, many that I still can remember clearly to this day. When I got a little older, the nightmares and scary dreams slowly stopped. Maybe it is beacause as a child you are always afraid of the "monsters under your bed" and in your dark room, a shadow of the door may seem like a strange creature to you. I think this is because as a child you have a grater imagination, and you are not worried about "life" things, such as work or school, or family and friends. You are just a happy go lucky child with an imagination. I had this one phase a few years ago when I used to have many dreams about me being shot, or someone chasing me with a gun. I honestly to do this day have not figured out why I had those reoccuring dreams. The weirdest thing of all was that whenever I would have a dream that I would actually get shot, I could feel myself getting shot, and would instantly wake up. I told one of my friends about it, to see what she thought. And her reply was, "you'll be the first one of us [out of all my friends] to die". I was like, gee thanks. As I have gotten older my dreams have changed and thankfully no longer have those scary nightmares. Nowadays my dreams are pretty random, they don't make very much sense and they often leave me thinking, "what does that mean?". In my dreams there will be some people I know, some that I have never seen in my life. The dream may start off in one location and suddenly be somewhere else, and they often make absolutley no sense at all. What do my dreams mean now? I don't have the answer to that one. I really wish I did though. I think that we all dream for a reason and that it's a good thing that dreams make us think. Just so long as we are not spending every waking hour thinking, "what does that mean?" I guess should stop my rambling about dreams now. If you anyone has any weird or cool dreams they wanna tell me about, let me know. :-). Take care everyone, and dream on.

I know what lurked under your bed. A monster made of vitamins and yummy goodness. I can see why you did not want to eat your vitamins. But if you threw out the flintstone vitamins then I am afraid that I must say tisk tisk.
